Veronica cannot help but smile and say,
"Let me guess, you were once a boyscout?" Grizz just
grins and she nods her head. "Yes, that is what I
thought."
She looks down at her bare knees as she
is wearing shorts and is thankful that the floor is soft
and spongy like the walls. "I cannot believe I am going
to admit it, but I think I am actually enjoying this."
She bends down and crawls into the opening on the right.
She only goes about 15 feet before she realizes that the
green light is fading and it is becoming darker and
darker. "Ok, maybe I'm not enjoying this so much. Maybe
we should...oh heeeeeeeeeeeek!!" She tumbles down
through a hole in the bottom of the cave, which
apparently is no more than a hollowed out
mushroom.

rhonerw (as RW) finds Thietris talking in his sleep. Ironically,
it's the same conversation Thietris thought he had
with Elkae earlier. RW wakes Thietris.
rhonerw (as Thietris) responds with this: "RW, I know you
have been wanting to see me. However, if you don't
mind, I could use a bit of a stretch. Why don't you
walk along with me, we can talk of projects and
possibilities. Let's see if Cordelia is around. She
might like a stretch also. Then (as RW): RW readily
inidicated his consent, and Professor Thietris and RW
set of in search of Cordelia and a walk through the
Institute."
Thietris responds by wondering when he was
going to get his cocoa.
rohnerw (as RW) tells Thietris: "I couldn't help
notice in your office. You seemed well...rather sad.
Is there a problem? Anything I can do? I imagine the
operation of this Institute places a pretty heavy
burden on you. If there is anything you need that is
within my abililies, I would be most pleased to
assist."
rohnerw (OOC) tells Thietris his intentions: "I just thought that
since Elkae put Boatingirl on the spot yesterday
followed by Jade/Veronica putting me on the spot, that
we should continue with you next. No ill will intended
I assure you."
rohnerw (as Ancient Badger) misses Elkae and wonders if she will return ...
hoping "that wherever she had gone, that she was doing
fine."
___________________ Ironically,
Elkae had simply gone to the Institution to have breakfast in the Egg Room and a chat
with Thietris.

Professor T was thoroughly
confused.
"Cordelia, I have to ask you - did you
or did you not see Elkae in my office when you brought
the coffee in earlier? She was there, in my room! She -
I couldn't have dreamt it, could I?"
Fortunately for Veronica, the padding at
the bottom of the mushroom was such that she did not
incur any injuries. The bad news was, there was no going
back the way she came. From where she sits, she calls up
to Grizz, "I am fine. The drop was not that far, thank
goodness."
She can see a dim light coming through
a crack in the 'wall' of the mushroom and she puts her
hand to it, feeling the breeze that is blowing through.
"I think I found a way out of here!" She kicks out with
both feet, tearing a portion of the wall away, revealing
the forest beyond. "What the heek?" Thoroughly puzzled
she yells up to Grizz, "This doesn't look like
Teledahn."
Grizz, a little alarmed by her impetuous
nature, yells down to Veronica.
"Don't you go out
there until I get down!"
He takes the sock part
that is left, breaks the yarn leading back to the fork
in the tunnels, and ties the yarn into the top of the
sock. He puts both socks back on, although one is now
more an anklet than a sock, and sits on the edge of the
hole.
He looks down between his feet, warns
Veronica to clear the way, and pushes off with his hands
into the
hole.

OOC Wait, wait, I think I see
something. Yes, it's becoming clearer, and clearer,
wait! Now it's fading, going, going, no wait, it's back,
but I can't quite seem to get a focus on it. Blasted

Sitting on the other side of the desk,
Cordelia looks Thietris in the eyes (she has to put her
chin on the desk in order to achieve this) and slowly
nods her head.
"I do believe it was Elkae, sir.
However, on the other hand, how could it have been?"
Cordelia is also very confused.
"If Elkae is
still in jail then how could it have been her, but who
else could it have possibly been?"
Now it looks
like there might be even more confusion in Thietris'
room

often imagine the Professor as being human sized. We
have a bear called Tough Ted, who wears a tight vest
(and little else, apart from one earring). I often
imagine him being six foot tall and going round to the
neighbours to sort them out. He's a nightdress case (and
should probably be locked up).

It was with gladness that RW recieved
a special package this am. Realizing it would take him
away from the Institute, he quickly sent a post to
Professor Thietris.

Thietris,
I have just received a special delivery
this am. It is a book from MYST but to an age that I did
not know existed when I first visited many years ago, or
had access to.
Having had this door open to me,
for my own peace of mind(pun intended),I must go and
investigate. I dare not miss this oppurtunity and I
leave immediately.
Regrettably, I leave at least
one loose end here at the Institute unresolved at this
moment. I am confident however that one of the other
research/explorers will be able resolve that situation
quite handily to the satisfaction of all.
Coredelia, if you would be so kind, please keep
my ExP1 Ident card for safe keeping while I am gone. I
will retrieve it from you upon my return.
