dangerous in the wrong hands.

Thietris, I was wondering. How does one
link within a single age? I always thought that was
impossible. All of a sudden here we are, in Uru, and we
can link between the city and the hood. I don't
understand how or when the rules
changed.

Veronica is speechless for several
minutes as she considers her parents comments. She looks
down at herself and she is wearing the usual cotton tee
shirt and shorts and then over at Grizz in his brand new
Armani suit.
Unpleasant memories assail her as
she thinks about the endless number of boarding schools
she was forced to attend, the social grace classes
(little good they did, which her parents delighted in
telling her on numerous occasions), the tutors, the cold
and impersonal nannies that were in charge of her care.
Her parents were only concerned with appearances and she
herself had been just like them until recently. Now she
knew better.
Veronica grins (you know the one,
the grinchy grin that she's learned from
Grizz.)
"Oh Grizz, guess what? Almech and the
Bahro moved that SUV-sized linking book down to level 2
so that it would not be in the way. I'm just going to go
down for a bit and show my parents around. I have a friend that I want them to meet."
And if they are really Veronica's parents, then
there is only one exlanation. She has to have been

Thietris, I think someone has discovered
a way of linking via KI. If this is true, you
may want to put Stellaflora on that as soon as he
returns. KI linking would be much more convenient than
the old fashioned way of using the
Nexus.

Ah, I see what you mean, Elkae. Well, I
know I've been a stickler for rules - and I'm a bit old
fashioned myself. But you're right. When the real
Stellaflora returns - not Stella Specter - I'll put him
on to it.

co-owner of DISCO. She has definitely earned

Yes,
I see, you don't appear to be getting any younger, Mr.
Grizz. You remind me of a professor I had in college, a
Mr. Methuselah.
Now, Snookems, just because Mr. Grizz hasn't 'aged
gracefully' and maybe put on a few pounds, doesn't mean
he can't be a good partner for our little
Princess.

When Veronica and her parents
arrive on the second level, she has a change of heart.
She just cannot do this. She has a better form of
revenge in mind.
"Stay here and look around for a
few minutes, I'll be right back." She runs upstairs and
grabs the phone.
"Kestryll, this is Veronica.
Yes, that Veronica."
"Ok, so what's
up?"
"This is going to sound strange, but I have
a huge favor to ask."
"I've heard of stranger
things, what is it?"
"Would you mind taking my
parents on a grand tour of the Bahro caves and
introducing them to Yeesha and all of her
speeches?"

myself)Kidding, I'm going to the egg room for a snack,

For those of you who watch Jerry Seinfeld, the
following tones are exactly the same as whenever Jerry
greets Newman, the mailman. Very terse and extremely
tense.
Anywho:
OT Speedy finally wakes up from her long needed
sleep. She stretched and contemplated the numerous
dreams she had during her sleep; something with huge
ugly knights in fur coats and antlers, more badgers,
mushrooms, and this time a snake... and bad weather...
eh whatever. They're just dreams anyways. Speedy
quickly flew to the eggroom and got herself some food,
and was happy not to see broccoli tea. After breakfast,
she flew out. "Hrm, I wonder where everyone else
is... I'm now ready for my next assignment," she said
aloud as she took flight.
Studying gives you
knowledge. Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. I am
learning how to be corrupt.
