a drink gratefully from Kestryll and says hello. Then
she sees Veronica standing by the window admiring her
reflection and her hackles automatically go up. She just
doesn't like that girl.
"Cruiser, you look
lovely. I hope you will be happy here, but please come
visit me when you get the chance,
ok?"
Kestryll smiles, arches an eyebrow at
Jade's reaction to Veronica and hands Jade a small plate
of chocolates. Then he waggles is eyebrows while smiling
sweetly at the two and strolls off into the
crowd.

through the crowd and sees Cordelia and Thietris and
waves to them. "I'm glad so many people were able to
make it. I know how important this is for you, well and
the Bahro
too."
Yes, Grizz started this project with
hopes of having all come together for the good of the
cavern. With the turnout today, I have every reason to
think this will succeed.
"Hello there. Methinks you and this
Veronica both have similar thoughts about me. It's nice

been unable t' connect with him for a good
while."

chocolate." She ponders what he said about Veronica, but
she cannot make the connection as she is unable or
unwilling to believe the two of them have
anything in common.
"Hey, Merlin. I have
not had a tour of this neighborhood. Would you mind
showing me around?"
Jade waves at Grizz and
Veronica as they argue over the last of the chocolates.
"Those two are so greedy when it comes to chocolate,
aren't they?"

office for a moment and notices a large item wrapped in
brown paper propped against the front of her desk. She
opens it to find an unframed poster:

secures it to his head then reaches back under and pulls
out a big tray of assorted chocolates. He sets it on the
table and ducks.
And I thought delivering was

He smiles and links out to deliver

package.

before he links away, but misses. "Drat!" She tries to
talk around a mouthful of truffles. "Doth that mean no

"Oh by the way Kest, everything was just
lovely, please tell your staff their services were most
appreciated." Cruiser hands Kestryll an envelope,
"Please see that this is divided among those that served
today and do take some of the champagne and chocolates
for them also."
*as Merlin and Jade walk away, Merlin
swiftly pulls out his wand and snaps his wand in the
direction of the table*
"I think you'll like this
store," says Merlin as they enter the
DISCO.
Behind them, Grizz and Veronica are still
devouring the truffles and chocolates, but they don't
seem to get any fewer.
I hope Kestryll is
happy.

What is wrong
with this tray of chocolates? These are not my
chocolates. He samples one.. MERLIN! There's only
one person in this hood who could create such a
thing...
He picks up the tray and opens his
Relto book. Flipping through the various links he
selects one, holds the book flat and drops the tray onto
it. It links out and Kest snaps the book shut. Then he
replaces the tray.
Sorry about that. Magic
makes food taste funky. We at Kestryll Inc. prefer only
modern organic or D'ni tech to grow, create and
transport items and people.
