Although I have heard of

Never heard of Magic
Roundabout. Been on a few, but never heard or seen it. I
have heard of Danger Mouse and I loved it when I was
younger!
Anywho...

"FM!
It's good to see you! How are things going?" Speedy
asked. "Better now thanks... there aren't any badgers
on this trip, are there?" FM asked. "I don't think
so... at least not from this diagram that Thietris gave
me," Speedy said as she showed FM the diagram of the
possible animals they might meet. "Oh geez..." FM
muttered. "Oh, but we can handle them! With your
excellent fighting skills, we can overcome any beast!"
Speedy said as she slapped him in the back. FM is not
quite sure whether Speedy was being serious or
joking... "Ahem..." coughed Merlin. "Oh, sorry.
FM, this is Merlin, our newbie," Speedy
introduced. "Hey kid, nice to meet you... a newbie?"
FM asked. "I don't like that term, I like
inexperienced better," Merlin explained. "Ok, sorry.
So who else is joining us?" FM asked. "I am!" chimed
a new voice. Speedy, FM, and Merlin turned around.
There came Grassie, carrying his backpack. "Grassie!"
Speedy shouted. "How's it going?" asked FM. "Going
well, after having a nice break. I'll join you guys on
this trip but who knows for how long I will stay,"
Grassie explained. "Don't worry, we have 2 ways out,"
Merlin said. "That's reassuring," Grassie
said. "Where's Dr Warrell?" asked Speedy as she
looked around. "He's coming too?" asked
Grassie. "Yeah, I persuaded him, but don't mention
anything about the animals..." Speedy whispered. A
few moments later came a panting Dr Warrell, running
once again to meet the others. "Sorry... I ...
over...slept," he panted. Speedy groaned. "Well,
you made it in time! Grassie just caught up with us
too," said Merlin. "Oh! Hey Grassie," "Hey
Warrell," said Grassie. "Ok, does anyone need
anything?" asked Speedy. "Last chance,"

Cruiser has been in the B.A.H.R.O.
office for most of the day, and has interviewed a number
of potential assistants. "I have two that are qualified,
I think I will talk with them again tomorrow." As she is
leaving she posts a new sigh in the
courtyard.
"Who's the guy on the spring?" asked Dr
Warrell. "MrD," replied Merlin. "Why is he on a
spring?" asked Dr Warrell. "Think it's a result of
the mushrooms?" asked FM. "A delayed reaction?" asked
Grassie. "Who knows, that stuff could work on people
different ways... look at what it did for Dr Warrell and
FM: two totally different things," Speedy
explained. "Wait, how was I crazy?" asked Dr
Warrell. "You singing in your sleep," Speedy
answered. "Oh yeah, that..." Dr Warrell said as he
blushed. "Ok, are we all set?" asked
Speedy.

Meanwhile, to continue with Veronica and
Grizz. Grizz turned and pointed at the area on the other
side of the arch from where Veronica had been. See that." he said. Let's go down the
beach and take a look for a path through those trees.
There are some interesting hills on the other side, with
some odd looking stone outcroppings."
Veronica
was agreeable, so they walked down the beach, looking at
the odd little shells, the strange pebbles, and keeping
an eye out for any way to get through the thick belt of
vegetation that ran down the edge of the beach for as
far as they could
see.

have the book?" says Merlin.

"Yep! Let's go!" Speedy said as she
pulled out the book. She walked over to a nearby table
and left the book on it. She turned back to the
group. "Who wants to go first?" Speedy asked. "I
do!" chimed in Merlin as he jumped up and
down. Grassie gave Speedy a look, meaning should we
let him link in first? Speedy gave a look back,
meaning well why not. "Ok Merlin, here you go,"
Speedy said as she stepped out of the way. Merlin
skipped up to the book. He collected himself and put his
right hand on the page. He disappeared. "Ok, who's
next?" asked
Speedy.

In
Negilahn, it was nighttime. Streaks of moonlight seeped
through the leaves and tree tops. Some insects chime in
the night. Suddenly, there was this weird sound,
something that had not been heard by the trees for
millenia. Some sort of a shimmer... And then, a new
creature came to the jungle. A two legged creature that
stands upright. True, he may look young and a little
inexperience, but he looked around the trees in
wonder. "Wow..." he said softly. The sound came
again, and this time, an older man came through with a
lab coat on. "Wow, what a place!" said this
man. Soon, the sound was made another two more times,
and another man, a white ferret, and a tall blue stork
came through. Everyone looked at the jungle in awe...
this was even better than the image Thietris had given
them! The bird reached for her backpack and pulled
out a camera. "Speedy, do you really think it is wise
to use the camera in here?" asked FM. "Well, how else
would we get images?" asked Speedy. "The traditional
D'ni way: drawing!" said FM. "Are you a good artist?"
she asked him. "Umm..." FM got silent. "I'm not
either, so I guess this is the best thing we have at the
moment," Speedy said as she began to take some
pictures. "So, shall we make camp?" asked
Merlin. "I don't think it is wise to do it on the
ground, we might want to go up in the canopy," said
Grassie. "But we don't even know what is up there
either," said Dr Warrell. "Well, that is half the fun
of exploring, now isn't it?" said Grassie with a
wink.

As Veronica and Grizz made their way
carefully down the beach, Veronica casually dropped back
a few feet and let Grizz take the lead. She pulled her
backpack in front of her, and unzipped the side pocket.
Reaching inside, she pulled out one of the chocolate
truffles that had been served at the Bahro
social.
Grizz stopped and turned suddenly,
catching her with the chocolate halfway to her
mouth.
"Were you planning on sharing any of
those?"
"Not really."
"That isn't very
nice you know."
"I can't help it."
"You
should have brought enough for two."
"I did."
Grizz started to walk
towards her with a determined look on his face and
asked, "Do you want to see how cold that water
is?"
Veronica shrieked and started running
towards the trees, yelling over her shoulder, "No
thanks!!"
