Stellaflora stops his discordant singing as he has
finished his comparisons between the Shell Cloth that Veronica brought back
from Gira and the Journey cloth that Merlin brought back
from Tokatar rooftop. He goes out into the Hood to find
the place deserted. "I'll just have to wait until the
professor is awake to tell him the results" GS thinks.
He goes back into the Lab to work on a very special project
to try to assess exactly what has happend to Stellaflora
and to attempt to bring him back}

As Grizz and
Veronica leave the shelter of the trees, they carefully
look left and right and beyond, checking for signs of
life. In a loud whisper Veronica says, "I don't see
anything, do you?" Grizz cringes a little and says, "No,
but please, Nica, we must be quiet." She is a little
hurt by his abrupt tone. Noticing this, he laughs and
says, "It is just a precaution, you never know what
might pop-up here. Safety first, as the DRC are fond of
reminding us, ok?" He reaches over and pats her on the
back.
The path winds up the hill and over the
top. When they reach the top, they look all around,
being able to see further ahead. They find themselves in
a series of hills rising gradually to a higher line of
hills where they can see the rocky outcroppings better.
Thee is something a little odd about them; something
almost familiar, but Grizz can.t quite put his finger on
what it is.
Then Grizz hears a noise coming from
the tree belt behind him, a thrashing, confused noise
with some loud inarticulate sounds that sound almost
like cursing. He swings around, automatically pushing
Veronica behind into a more protected spot, and faces
back down the hill, not knowing quite what to
expect.
As Veronica watches over his shoulder,
they see two figurs come stumbling and falling out of
the trees onto the
path.
