The three start toward the cave, but
C'mony holds up a paw.
Once you go in the firtht
right hand tunnel, your relto books won't work. You will
either have to come back out here, or use the link. Good
luck."
And the large rodent-like fellow got up
and walked out into the plain in front of the
cave.
The three travelers go on into the cave. In
a short time they find the first right exit from the
main cave. They turn down it. There is enough light to
see, but only just enough.
They go carefully,
looking for the pit. At length they see it as a dark
spot in the floor of the tunnel. Going carefully to its
edge, they look over.
At first they see nothing,
then seemingly at a great depth, they see a glimmer of
light and movement. The light steadily grows stronger,
and soon all three of them can see a rather pretty sight
far down in the depths.
Grizz hardly hesitates.
He turns to the Professor and shakes his paw. Then he
turns to Veronica and gives her a hug. "See you both
back in the cavern!" he says, and steps off the
edge.
Almost without hesitation, Veronica smiles
at the professor and follows
Grizz.

I
thought your piano repertoire sounded impressive,
Merlin. I'm fond of piano music - I used to be able to
play a couple of the easier Debussy pieces (not very
well) and some Scott Joplin.
Merlin, since you are
the one who gives piano recitals maybe you should be
playing the thuthpentheful muthic - you know, like they
have in the old silent movies.
What's that, oh
sorry you're too young to remember them. Nevermind, take
my word for it - everyone else knows what I am talking
about

"oh... my head..." Speedy
moaned. "Mine too..." moaned Grassie as he rubbed his
head. "My muscles..." Speedy added. "Ok, now
you've got me beat," said Grassie. "Where are we?"
asked FM. "In some prison, by the looks of things..."
commented Merlin. "...ether based compounds..." Dr
Warrell muttered. "Think he'll be ok?" asked
Merlin. "Don't worry. At least one person does
delusional on an adventure. FM's was last time. I guess
it's now Dr Warrell's..." Speedy explained. "But
wasn't he somewhat delusional when he sang in his
sleep?" asked Grassie. "Ok, fine, Dr Warrell is
always delusional on adventures. He's an absent-minded
scientist!" Speedy said. Suddenly, three very tall
figures came down the corridor and peered into the
cell. "They're awake!" said one. "Yes, they
are..." "You heard what the captain said! We need to
split them up!" said the third. "Ok, you take the
door..." said the first one. The door opened and the
forumites looked at the tall figures wearing helments
with antlers on it. "What the..." said FM. "Like
what I saw in the imager..." said Speedy. Three of
them started to chant. "Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni!" "AHH!!!" went the
forumites as they all covered their ears. "Ni! Ni!
Ni!" the being continued. Two of them came foreward and
grabbed Speedy and FM. They took them out as they
continued to chant. The one holding FM opened another
cell and tossed FM in there, locking the cell.
Meanwhile, the one holding Speedy opened a half-egg cage
and tossed Speedy in there. Too bad for her, it was a
little small for her tall body... "Not a birdcage!"
Speedy moaned. "NI!" said the being as he locked the
cage. "ACK!" The two guards came back as the third
opened the door. They began to chant again, and this
time grabbed Grassie and Merlin. They carried them a
little further down the hall. Merlin got placed in a
cell (locked when he got in) while Grassie got placed in
a small, rectangular cage... "Hey, this is too
small!" shouted Grassie. "NI!" said the
guard. "AHH!" After locking all of the cells,
birdcage and ferret cage, the guards smurked and lurked
off into the darkness.

OOC: Why thank you Thietris! I can also
play "The Maple Leaf Rag" and "THe Entertainer", both
Scott Joplin pieces. No Debussy as of yet however. But I
do have a great piano teacher.(not my mother) Hre name
is Tugce Tari(Too-chay tau-ri) and she's from Turkey.
She's amazing. She was requested to play at the Turkish
embassy in Washington, D.C. a few months
back.

Merlin, Yes I could play Maple Leaf Rag. I
could never play directly from the music and had to
learn things bar by bar - a somewhat slow and painful
(to others) process.
When Grizz stepped off the edge and
jumped into the pit, he didn't know quite what to
expect. The one result he least expected was that, even
though he felt as though he were falling at a normal
rate, it was taking a very long time to reach those
pretty lights.
He could see them still, down
below between his feet. So he was still right side up at
least.
The second unexpected thing was that there
was no urge to slap his Relto book. He wasn't even
tempted.
The lights grew bigger and brighter.
Then, just before he passed between them, he felt a tug
at his shirt. He looked over his shoulder and saw
Veronica right behind him, smiling, eyes shining, and
not saying a word. She had a firm hold on his shirt. But
there was no sign of the professor.
Then the
lights flashed by, and everything went inky black. There
was the sound of a link, then
silence.
