You're right. We're both extremely
good at hindsight.
Zandi, angry at himslef for
losing both a golf ball and a fairly expensive golf club
to the waters of D'ni, is shocked and angered evne more
by the lack of presence of his trusty Zandoni.
Fortunately for him, he has a cell phone on him, and
calls up a New York taxi to come take him
home.
"Someone is attacking the gate, my lord!"
says the knight nearest the King.
Merlin sees
them start to talk.
"This is my chance to do
something... but my head! I can't to much..." thinks
Merlin.
All of a sudden his face is a mask of
concentration.
"Now how did that mask get on
there?" thinks Merlin as he throws it to the
ground.
"I've got it!" thinks he.
He
conjures an box of QuikActing Excedrin and pops one in
his mouth.

"What is going on? They stopped!" said
Speedy. "Something else is distracting them!" said
Grassie. "I'm still alive?" asked Dr Warrell as he
opened his eyes. "I guess we are," said FM. "Oh my
head now feels better..." said Merlin. Speedy looks
up. Many of the knights have left the windows while a
few feeble ones continued to Ni, but the effect was not
that strong. "I think I can fly up there... and then
somehow get this room to open," said Speedy. "Then do
it before the Ni's start again!" said FM. Speedy
takes flight. "The bird! It's
flying!" "NIIII!" "ACK!" Speedy said as she fell a
few feet. "Come on Speedy! You can do it!" yelled the
forumites. Speedy pumped her wings harder, trying to
ignore the Nis. Her wings are still a little sore from
rescuing Merlin and Dr Warrell, but she can fly. She
eventually got to the window and went through it. She
then disappeared from the forumite's sights.
When Speedy left, the remaining knights
began to more loudly.
"We cannot let more
escape!" says one Knight.
"They're almost as bad
as they were before!" says FM.
Grassie looks over
at Merlin.
"Wha..." stats Grassie.
FM and
Dr. Warrell look over at him.
Merlin was lifting
into the air and shining a fiery blue.
"WHO DARES
TO DO THIS?!" echoes his amplified voice thoughout the
room.
The Knights falter, but
continue.
"GO! LEAVE, NEVER TO
RETURN!"
Static pops and zaps of electricity
eminated from the figure.
"LEAVE NOW OR I
SHALL..."
...and the Knights fled.
Merlin
slowly floats to the ground.
As he lands, he
collapses, slowly dimming.
"That was too much...
I am spent... help..."
The others rush
over.
"Are you okay?!" says Dr.
Warrell.
"I think I will be... but I am weak...
oh, so weak..."
Then a door opens in the side of
the room, with Speedy standing
inside.

"What happened to Merlin?" asked Speedy
as she propped the door open. "He used some blue fire
ball thingy to scare the knights away," said FM. "And
now he has no more energy," said Grassie. "Oh geez...
well, we need to carry him out then," Speedy
said. "To where?" asked Dr Warrell. "Any where but
here. Come on, he's not that heavy. Someone grab him,"
said Speedy. "Why don't you?" asked FM. "I've
carried him already and I was the one who opened the
door. I figured I would want to share the heroism,"
Speedy said dryly. "Oh! I want a turn!" said Dr
Warrell as he picked up Merlin, but his legs were
shaking. "FM, help him," said Grassie. FM sighed
and he grabbed one side of Merlin while Dr Warrell held
onto the other side. The forumites then ran/walked fast
from the cell, looking for an escape route.
FM, Grassie, Dr. Warrell, Speedy, and
Merlin are walking/running through the tunnels looking
for an escape route when they come to a
door.
Speedy walk over to it. Through it she can
hear the voices of some Knights.
"You are next,"
says one voice.

"Sir
Corrigan!"
*footsteps*

sound*
"Sir
Humphulat!"

"Lastly, Sir
Grimblewad!"

sound*
"Now I can finaly leave!" says the
voice.

"Strange," thinks Speedy from the
other side of the door.
And then Grub appears
beside
them.

"Grub! You're back!" FM, letting
go of Merlin. As a result of this, Dr Warrell couldn't
support all of Merlin's weight, so he fell to the ground
with Merlin landing on top of him. "Umm,... help?"
muttered Dr Warrell. "Yep, I came back alright... and
those bloody knights are going too!" said Grub. "How?
What happened?" asked Speedy. "Help?" muttered Dr
Warrell again. "I went back home, gathered an army,
and attacked this place!" Grub said proudly. "Wow...
so where did the knights go?" asked Grassie. "I don't
know, I was just about to check that room since that is
where they all ran too..." said Grub. Suddenly, there
was a marching sound coming down the hall. Many more
gnomes were searching for the knights. "Where did
they go?" "Hey, there is Grub!" "Who is that with
him?" "Are they knights?" "A bird being a
knight?" "Hey you never know!" "HELP!" Dr Warrell
shouted, and finally the forumites, and gnomes, heard
him.
"Yes, sir," answers the gnome. "do you want
us to do something about the pileup?"
"Yes, pick
him up off the man," says Grub.
After being
picked up and held vertically, Merlin begins to feel a
bit better.
"What happened to him?" asks
Grub.
"You see, after you left us, the Knights
came in and took us to this large chamber. Then they all
started to Ni us. But when you started your attack, most
of them left, leaving some behind to continue," says
Speedy.
"And then Speedy flies up despite the Nis
and goes to find a way out," says FM.
"And when
she left, the other Knights got scared and Ni'd louder
than ever. Luckily, Merlin is very good at
intimidating people. He started shooting out lightning
bolts and glowing and floating. He told them to leave
and they left, but he overdid it a bit, and now he's a
bit tired," said Grassie.
"A bit!" says
Merlin.
"And then I found a way to open the door
in the side of the pit and we went out, looking for a
way to escape," says Speedy. "Just now I heard some
voices through this
door."

Chere and Cruiser manage to remove
all the trash and get the shop in order. As they drag
the trash bags to the Nexus linking room for disposal
Chere wonders aloud,
"Cruiser, how many bags
of trash did we fill? It seems as if one or two might be
missing"
Cruiser looks around at the bags, "You
know, Chere you might be right. We can check the box of
trash bags when we get back to the WHOOPS and see how
many were in the box. It's empty and there are 24 filled
bags here."
Cruiser and Chere walk back to
the WHOOPS, find the box and read:25 33 gal 2
ply bags
"Now that is strange," states
Cruiser. "Why would anyone want a bag of dried up old
plants?"
The friends exchange puzzled and
slightly worried looks. Soon they are back to chatting
about all the news of the Hood, forgetting their
concerns.
We will be trying to figure out where
those bags went for a long while, but at least the place
is cleaned up and you can make plans to restock. Let me
know is I can help, I want to see WHOOPS
reopened.

out of the corner of my eye while we were hauling out
some of the bags. It's very strange," Chere
replies.
Crusier and Chere decide to head to the
Egg room for food and a cofee. Upon their return to
WHOOPS they see...
"Seymour's
back," they both shout. And WHOOPS is back to
it's former glory. Chere presents Cruiser with her
choice of plant as a thank you for all her help. Seymour
plants a slurpy lick on Cruiser's cheek.
"Thanks
Cruiser for taking such good care of me." Seymour
purrs.
Oh it's beautiful, thank you Seymour.
I'm glad that we had to chance to be friends, and I will
certainly visit more often.
