Sorry for being
non-existant all...had school yesterday (on a Saturday!!
evil teacher)...and then a friend's 18th all night...got
home and 1am and only just woke up..I'll prolly be back
on later today though when I've finished my
homework...

Babble and Rocket-Propelled Cones - Institute of
Advanced Exploration of Myst Worlds
Veronica and Grizz link back into the
Neighborhood, but instead of following Grizz to the
DISCO, Veronica waves and says, "I want to say hi to
Seymour and Chere, be there in a moment." She walks into
WHOOPS, admiring all plants and flowers that seem to be
thriving in this environment. She picks up Seymour and
says, "How is my precious today?" She nuzzles her nose
in his fur, then sees Chere walking in from the back.
"Hi Chere! Stop by for a cup of coffee later, I want to
show you something." She puts Seymour down and walks
out, running headlong into Kestryll, knocking him down.
"I say, Kestryll, watch where you are going!" Kestryll
starts to mutter a response, but she just keeps walking,
calling over her shoulder, "You really should be more
careful you know."
She walks towards the DISCO
and notices the beautiful stained glass window, which is
open. She turns back to Kestryll and asks, "Who moved
in?" Without waiting for a reply she puts her hand to
her mouth and yells, "Hello up there?!" Dr. Elkae
Knutsson pokes her head out of the window and waves
down. "Oh, hello Dr. Knutsson!!" She yells back, "Elkae,
please!" Veronica nods her head, "Will you stop by for
coffee later, I have something to show you." As Veronica
makes her way to the DISCO she yells back to Kestryll,
"Oh, I have something to show you as well, when you get
moment."
Grizz, standing at the door of the
DISCO, hears every shout and hello from Veronica. He
grins. So like her to want to show everybody right now.
He goes in and makes a fresh pot of coffee, and fills
the plate with fresh Fig Newtons. He brings out some
extra chairs and crates for people to sit on, and puts
out some extra mugs. Wouldn't want any one to come in
and not be ready for them. Then he takes his usual spot
on the stool behind the counter, and waits for Veronica,
and whoever she might bring with her.
As he
waits, he thinks about the echo of the voice he heard
just as they left the office where he and Veronica found
the picture. He knew Yeesha's voice now so well. And he
wasn't really surprised at what she had said... "You are
already home." He sighed, and settled back, suddenly
very contented and
happy.

Elkae Dr. Elkae Knutsson, Dir., Dept. of

Dr. Knutsson links from her office back
to Relto to freshen up a bit before linking back to
visit Veronica at the DISCO. Her new office is dusty and
filthy from centuries of neglect. She was sure the
cobwebs in her hair would repulse the young
woman.
~~~ Thirty Minutes Later ~~~
Elkae
links to the hood and stops for a brief moment to admire
the lake view which is, to her, eerie yet soothing.
She's often dreamed of taking a boat to explore the
cavern's shoreline.
Down the stairs past Heek
Inc. and around the bend she finds the door of the
DISCO. The lights are on as always and an ear-to-ear
grin emerges as she sees her dear friend Grizz sitting
behind the counter with his Fig Newtons and
coffee.

"Good to see you,
my friend. Can I get a cup of coffee and a couple of
those Newtons while I wait for Veronica?"

hurt. The wig was the best I could find at the
time. I knew it didn't suit you. The color was wrong,
and the style too, but any port in a storm,
right?

XYZ were busy
chirping around their first word; "Myst". Sure, it was
cute at first, but after hearing it over 100 times, it
can somewhat irritating. Even more so if you've been
arguing with Dr Warrell the entire time since you've
left your Relto. Speedy groaned. Dr Warrell was being
a pain in the heek and the penguins would not quiet
down. So this is what it's like to be a parent, huh,
Speedy thought. Calmly, she praised the penguins, who
chirped loudly. "Now, off to bed! We have a long sail
ahead of us," Speedy said. Luckily, XYZ obeyed and
went to Speedy's cabin and crashed on her
bed. Meanwhile, Dr Warrell was continuing ranting
about the dangers of animals on these
adventures. "For crying out loud! Every since
adventure I've been on to date, I've almost died from
animals! The badgers! Those flying monkeys! That big
turkey thing! Those knights! And now your penguins!" he
shouted. "Well excuse me! But haven't animals and
foreign species saved your butt? I saved you from that
fall! The gnomes let us free from the knights of ni! Dr
Osmostien and Ukoi got us out of the badger jam! Sheesh,
have more appreciation in what you do!" Speedy shouted
back. "Oh, you're right..." Dr Warrell
muttered. "And how dare you insult my penguins! They
didn't mean any harm!" "Sheesh! You're beginning to
sound like a mother..." SMACK! Speedy slapped her
wing against Dr Warrell's hea,d and his body propelled
into the wall of the boat, knocking him out. "Well,
that shuts him up," Speedy muttered. Meanwhile, a
small wave of applause comes up since the whining of Dr
Warrell was finally over.
